Pharmacy
The pharmacist is the most accessible health care professional. The pharmacist is in a position to assist patients with a wide range of health issues regarding medications, disease states, treatments, preventative measures, and healthy lifestyles. A pharmacist dispenses medications on written orders from a doctor, dentist, or other authorities. They also provide information on the drugs and how to use them correctly. High school students planning careers in pharmacy should study algebra, geometry, trigonometry, biology, physics, and chemistry. The student will be awarded an Associate in Science with emphasis in Pharmacy. This is a transfer program.
