Physical Therapist Assistant
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program prepares students for work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. Physical Therapist Assistants carry out the daily activities of physical therapy, including exercise and massage. They also perform various treatments such as heat, cold, whirlpools, and electrical stimulation. Students in this program work with a variety of injuries, diseases, and birth defects. Employment is found in hospitals, nursing homes, health centers, schools, and private clinics.
