When agencies recruit externally for classified non-temporary positions, PeopleSoft Recruiting Solutions must be used to announce the vacancy. This resource provides for public notification of the vacancy, as well as steps to apply for the position. Agencies must also ensure the selected applicant for any position meets minimum qualifications as described in the class description.
Agencies are encouraged to promote from within whenever practical.
Class descriptions should be reviewed before beginning the recruiting process.
All individuals interviewed for a position should be notified in writing of the agency's decision.
