General

Records received by the State of North Dakota from websites are subject to the same controls and uses as records collected by governmental offices visited in person. This agency provides security for information provided to it, and it does not sell information it receives. We may be required to disclose collected information pursuant to a court order. If you send the Office of the Secretary of State an email or submit a form through the Contact page, the email address will be collected as a means to reply to you. We may forward your message to another agency for appropriate action.

Wireless Messages Terms and Conditions

When you are enrolled to receive wireless messages from the State of North Dakota, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. To stop receiving messages, text STOP to 63468.

Most wireless service providers provide text messaging service. While there is no charge to sign up for wireless updates, your wireless service provider may charge per message. Check with your provider for details on additional costs.

Terms and Conditions

User Privacy: The State of North Dakota will not share nor use your mobile number for any other purpose than for updates from the selected client.

User Fees: The State of North Dakota does not charge recipients to receive text messages. However, messaging and data rates may apply.

Opt-Out: To Opt-out (discontinue receiving messages from the State of North Dakota), reply STOP from your mobile device to 63468. We will confirm your Opt-out by text and you will not receive any additional messages from the State of North Dakota unless you Opt-in again.

Warranty: The State of North Dakota is not liable for any delays in the receipt of any SMS (Short Message Service) messages connected with this program. Delivery of SMS messages is subject to effective transmission from your wireless service provider/network operator. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages

Privacy Policy: The State of North Dakota respects your privacy. We will only use information you provide to transmit your text message. Nonetheless, we reserve the right at all times to disclose any information as necessary to satisfy any law, regulation or governmental request, to avoid liability, or to protect our rights or property. When you complete forms online or otherwise provide an organization the information in connection with the wireless message service, you agree to provide accurate, complete, and true information. You agree not to use a false or misleading name or a name that you are not authorized to use.
