The Committee on Aging is the designated advisory committee for Aging Services. Membership consists of at least 14 members with the majority of the members being 60 years of age or older. Any resident can be appointed to the committee. Members shall represent rural and urban communities and the five Native American Communities. Members are appointed by the Governor to serve a three-year term. In addition to representing and advocating for older individuals in their respective regions, the Committee sponsors periodic educational forums that provide for mutual exchange of ideas and information on national, state, and local issues to improve the lives of North Dakotans as they age.
