North Dakota's population reached a record this year, according to a new U.S. Census Bureau estimate.
Gov. Doug Burgum on Monday released the new official population for the Peace Garden State: 762,062 people as of July 1, an increase of about 4,000 people, or less than 1%, from 2018.
“We are excited to see that a record number of people are experiencing North Dakota’s exceptional quality of life. Our population growth reflects the abundant opportunities in North Dakota and the strong potential for future economic expansion,” Burgum said in a statement.
