Gov. Doug Burgum, in partnership with the North Dakota Department of Commerce and the North Dakota Workforce Development Council, announced today federal funding totaling $200,000 to support the launch of Emerging Digital Academy, an accelerated learning platform that will teach North Dakotans new skills to help them thrive in an economy undergoing rapid technological change.

Gov. Doug Burgum today surveyed damage from Friday night’s tornado in the city of Mott, commending local leaders and the community for their preparation and response to the tornado, which caused significant damage but no injuries or deaths.

The North Dakota Department of Commerce today announced that North Dakota has received $418,332 in AmeriCorps funding from the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS). The 2019 grants focus on investments in economic opportunity, education, veterans and military families, disaster services and continue a new initiative for governors and mayors.
