 The census count in North Dakota and Minnesota will soon be in full swing, but significant numbers of workers are still needed to ensure a thorough tally, according to regional demographics officials assisting the U.S. Census Bureau.

In Cass County, where up to 500 census counters may ultimately be hired, about 46% of needed workers have been hired.

In Clay County, about 38% of needed workers have been hired.

Co-host public meetings on Feb. 18 in multiple locations 

BISMARCK, N.D. – Addressing the state’s workforce needs involves a unified, multi-agency approach. Job Service North Dakota, North Dakota’s Department of Commerce, Department of Public Instruction, and the Department of Human Services’ Vocational Rehabilitation Division have drafted a new Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Unified State Plan and are inviting employees, working age adults and other stakeholders to review it and submit public comments.
