How do I make a camping reservation?
Reservations can be made online or by calling the call center at 800-807-4723.

Do I need to create an account?
Yes, all users will need to create an account to access the reservation system at reservendparks.com. This will give you the ability to login, make reservations, save your favorite campsites, and view past and upcoming reservations. You will also be able to modify or cancel reservations through your account.
I can't get into my account, or I can't set up a new account. What should I do?
If you need to reset your password, click "Forgot Password?" on the Login screen.
For additional assistance, use the Contact Us form or email parkrec@nd.gov. If you are trying to access an existing account, please include your name, phone number, and street address when you contact us so we can look it up in the system.
Does the reservation system have an app?
We do not have a mobile app for making reservations at this time, but the new web-based reservation system is mobile-friendly.
Our new app powered by OuterSpatial does include details about each state park, points of interest, trails and events. The app also allows visitors to participate in our 12 Months-12 Hikes Challenge. This is just the beginning of improved functionality that the app can offer our customers. Download the app and watch for more developments in the near future!
Are permits and gift cards available for purchase online?
Yes, annual/daily park entrance permits, horse permits, out-of-state OHV permits and out-of-state snowmobile permits are available for online purchase here. Additionally, customers will have the option to purchase either physical or electronic gift cards.
What is the reservation fee?
A non-refundable reservation fee is applied to all reservations.
Online and in-person reservations: $5.80
Phone reservations: $9.00
How can I see my current and past reservations?
Log in and go to "Your Account" and then "Your Reservations."
This page will show all of your upcoming reservations. Use the date filter to see your past reservations.
I have a camping reservation, do I also need to purchase an entrance permit?
Yes. All vehicles entering a state park must have a valid daily or annual vehicle entrance permit. This includes overnight stays as well as day visits. Permits can be purchased online or through the Call Center at 800-807-4723.
How do I make a change to my reservation?
To modify an existing reservation, login to your online account and follow the instructions below or call 800-807-4723. A modification fee of $5.00 will apply. Your arrival date cannot be modified.
To modify a reservation online, log in and go to "Your Account" and then "Your Reservations." Find your upcoming reservation on the list, along with options to cancel, modify or reprint your reservation.
To shorten or lengthen your stay, adjust the nights under "Reservation Dates."
- If you are shortening your stay you will be due back a refund.
- If you want more nights than are available, you will get an error message.
To change sites or parks, go to "Select New Unit" in the "Unit Details" box. You can now search for a new park or facility.
- Do not click the "Home" button - this will exit the modification process and start a new reservation!
- Go back through the shopping cart with your new stay. The system will adjust the amount you owe or the amount we owe you.
How do I cancel or change my reservation?
To cancel or modify an existing reservation, login to your online account and follow the instructions to cancel or modify your reservation, or call 800-807-4723. A modification fee of $5.00 will apply.

What is the cancellation policy?
The reservation fee ($9 by phone or $5.80 online) is charged per campsite and is non-refundable.
- If the reservation is canceled more than 7 days prior to the date of arrival, you will be charged a $10 cancelation fee.
- If the reservation is canceled 7 or less days prior to the arrival date, you will be charged 1 night’s rental fee.
The reservation fee ($9 by phone or $5.80 online) is charged per overnight facility rental and is non-refundable.
- If the reservation is canceled more than 30 days prior to the date of arrival, they will be charged a $25 cancelation fee.
- If the reservation is canceled 30 or less days prior to the arrival date, they will be charged $25 per night of the reservation.
How long can I stay?
Campsite and cabin occupancy is limited to no more than 14 nights in any 30-day period.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Campsites: Campers can check in at 4:00 p.m. on the first day of their reservation and must check out on their last day by 3:00 p.m.
Cabins & Yurts: State park lodging guests can check in at 4:00 p.m. on the first day of the reservation and must check out by 12:00 pm. on the last day of the reservation.
What is the reservation window for booking my stay?
Campsites can be booked 95 days in advance from the date you wish to stay. Use the 95-day window calendar to find out when your reservation window will open.
Cabins, yurts, day use shelters and meeting rooms can be reserved up to 365 days in advance.
Online reservations can be made 24 hours a day, except for the first day a reservation becomes available. On that first day, reservations cannot be made before 7 a.m. Central Standard Time.
Can I bring my dog?
Pets are welcome but must stay on a leash. Most parks have off-leash areas or dog parks for your four-legged friends.
How do I sign up my child for OHV classes?
OHV safety certification hands-on sessions are held May through August. The North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department offers the hands-on courses for free in an effort to increase OHV safety awareness and prevent accidents. Register online for an upcoming in-person OHV safety class. Each class is limited to eight participants. A free helmet will be provided at the beginning of the course for students to keep.

How do I register my snowmobile or ATV?
