To serve clients more effectively, the North Dakota Department of Human Services’ regional Vocational Rehabilitation offices in Devils Lake and Grand Forks are relocating this week to the Job Service North Dakota offices in their local communities.
“Vocational Rehabilitation focuses on helping people with disabilities identify employment-related goals, overcome barriers to employment through training and education; and search for and attain desired employment. Co-locating with Job Service North Dakota gives the individuals we serve access to a wider array of employment support services in one convenient location in both the Devils Lake and Grand Forks communities,” said acting Vocational Rehabilitation Division Director Robyn Throlson.
Grand Forks Office Open House
To celebrate their co-location, the department’s Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and Job Service North Dakota are inviting residents and partner agencies in the Grand Forks region to a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 26 at 12:30 p.m. at 1501 28th Ave. S. They are also holding an open house that day from noon to 2 p.m.
Attendees are invited to tour the remodeled office space, meet vocational rehabilitation counselors and other team members, and learn more about VR services, which help people with disabilities find meaningful employment and help employers meet their workforce needs and address disability-related issues.
Devils Lake Office Open House
The vocational rehabilitation team in Devils Lake will host an open house June 27, noon to 2 p.m., at their new location at 301 College Dr. S., Devils Lake. Prospective clients, area businesses and members of the public are invited.
