Gov. Doug Burgum today delivered his 2021 State of the State Address, reflecting on the substantial progress and historic challenges of the past year and calling for bold action and investments in infrastructure and other priorities to position North Dakota for an even brighter future.

Gov. Doug Burgum today announced the state’s participation in CyberStart America, an innovative, online cybersecurity competition sponsored by the National Cyber Scholarship Foundation and SANS Institute. The competition encourages high school students to explore their aptitude for cybersecurity and computer science with a chance to win prizes and scholarships. Registration is open and play begins today. The competition runs through Feb. 28, 2021.

U.S. Transportation Secretary Elaine L. Chao today announced that the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) has been selected as one of eight participants in the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) BEYOND Program.

Calling it “an exciting day for North Dakota,” Gov. Doug Burgum joined officials in Fargo today as technology company Amazon.com Inc. announced the construction of its first fulfillment center in North Dakota, bringing more than 500 full-time jobs to Fargo with a state-of-the-art operation to pack and ship customer purchases.

The North Dakota Department of Human Services has proposed several amendments to its Medicaid State Plan to expand access to behavioral health services for individuals eligible for traditional Medicaid coverage.

The North Dakota Department of Commerce today announced that the agency was awarded $694,317 through the U.S. Department of Labor Apprenticeship State Expansion Grant.
